Resize and crop, without uploading anything

This tool draws your image onto an HTML5 Canvas element in your browser to crop and resize it. The file you select never leaves your device — there is no upload, no server processing and no waiting.

How the crop presets work

Each ratio (1:1, 16:9, 4:5) crops your image from the center, keeping the largest possible area that fits the target proportion. Choose "Original" to resize without cropping anything.

Frequently asked questions

Can I resize without cropping?

Yes, keep the crop ratio set to "Original" and use the percentage or pixel controls to resize freely.

Does resizing reduce image quality?

Enlarging an image beyond its original size can make it look blurry, since no new detail is created; reducing size is generally safe.

What file format is downloaded?

The output keeps the original format when it's PNG (to preserve transparency), or exports as JPG otherwise.
