Decoded entirely in your browser
This tool reads the pixels of the QR code image (or camera frame) and decodes them locally using open-source decoding logic running in JavaScript. Nothing is uploaded to a server — your QR codes and their contents never leave your device.
Camera scanning requires permission
To use the camera mode, your browser will ask for permission to access it. The video feed is only used to look for a QR code in each frame and is never recorded or transmitted anywhere.
Frequently asked questions
Why can't the camera be accessed?
Camera access requires a secure context (HTTPS) and browser permission. Check your browser's site settings if the request was previously denied.
Can I scan a QR code from a screenshot?
Yes, upload the screenshot image just like any other picture file.
What happens if the code is damaged or blurry?
Decoding may fail if too much of the QR code is unreadable; try a sharper, well-lit image instead.
