From spreadsheet to Markdown in one paste

When you copy cells from Excel or Google Sheets, the clipboard stores each column separated by a tab character. This tool detects that automatically and builds a properly aligned Markdown table — the same pipe-based format supported by GitHub, GitLab, Notion and most static site generators.

Converted entirely on your device

The conversion happens directly in your browser as you paste — your spreadsheet data is never uploaded anywhere.

Frequently asked questions

How do I copy data from Excel or Google Sheets correctly?

Select the cell range, copy it (Ctrl+C or Cmd+C), and paste it directly into the box — the tool automatically detects the tab characters that spreadsheets use between columns.

Does this work for Notion tables too?

Yes. Notion recognizes the same pipe-based Markdown table syntax used by GitHub, so you can paste the generated Markdown directly into a Notion page.

What happens if a cell contains a line break or a pipe character?

Pipe characters are escaped automatically so they don’t break the table structure, and line breaks inside a cell are converted to an HTML <br> tag, which both GitHub and Notion render correctly.
